Heide Wartha, member of the IGFM core team

From now on, a core team member of IG Freie Musikschaffende will introduce himself regularly on our blog.

Heide Wartha, born in 1963, plays the flute and transverse flute and has been very committed to IGFM since the beginning, for example in "Team Styria".

Do you also want to actively help and are you specifically interested in working with "Team Styria"?

Then feel free to contact Heide at verein@igfmoe.at!

"My name is Heide Wartha, I was born in 1963.
I am a Tyrolean with heart, body and soul.
I will probably never give up being that.

I studied in Graz, flute, and that's where I live and work.
But my third home is the Stromboli volcano in Sicily."

"It was a pleasure to study again, I can only recommend it to everyone. It is not only an extension, but also an observation - how are the "young ones" doing, what are the future prospects?"

I have just finished my second degree, namely the master's degree in transverse flute at the Mozarteum Salzburg - yes, this is my world of flutes! It was a pleasure to study again, I can only recommend it to everyone. It is not only an extension, but also an observation - how are the "young ones" doing, what are the future prospects nowadays? It was a very exciting exchange. A listening and yet also a passing on from one's own experience. Very exciting!

Idealism and cohesion! These are important concepts that shape my life. And: change, improvement!

Cohesion, solidarity - that's what we need now.
"Z'sammhebn" is the Tyrolean way of saying it!

And that brings me to IGFM:
I believe in a better future for musicians.
In fairness, in "clean", honest working conditions for all of us. That's what I like to stand up for!

Cohesion, solidarity - that's what we need now.
In Tyrolean we say "Z'sammhebn".
It is important to me to actively fight to make all of us aware of this. This awareness among musicians is still lacking, but I hope we can achieve a lot with our work.

My core issues at the IGFM:

  • The establishment of a strong "Team Styria" in order to be able to stay in constant contact with local politics.
  • Close contact with young academics at the universities
  • Creating a sense of cohesion and solidarity among musicians
