Fair fee levels are becoming rarer, the distribution level (promoters, labels, etc.) pass on their monetary problems to the last link in the chain, the artist. And can be sure that if they say "No, I can't do it under these conditions..." they will find someone who will do it for less.
The certainty that there is no solidarity among artists anyway must be dispelled. It must be worth something to a society not to let art degenerate into the precariat. The solidarity of the IGFM can only help.
