Today, for the first time in this legislative period, the new Cultural Advisory Board of the Province of Tyrol for Music met in the Landhaus in Innsbruck. For the first time, a representative of IGFM, Barbara Fischer, has also been appointed to the advisory board. The governor, Anton Mattle, who also holds the cultural department, was present with the highest representatives of the cultural department HR Dr. Thomas Juen and MMag. Dr. Melanie Wiener
. The Music Culture Advisory Board is one of several advisory boards that provide the state with expert advice. Each advisory board consists of approximately 10 members.
All had the opportunity to give a report of their area of activity. In addition, the awarding of the Contemporary Music Prize was voted on. The topic of Fairpay was raised by several council members.
The state is aware of the urgency. However, there was unfortunately too little time for any matters and discussions; it is hoped to have more space for this at the next meeting in six months' time.
